http://vivapura.net/Northwest-Bee-Pollen-raw-wildcrafted-12-lb

This delectable, floral-tasting pollen from Northern British Columbia is a superbly dried (low moisture content), nutrient-stable, pure (unpolluted) pollen. The bees collect this pollen from wild flowers on “Crown Lands” (similar to National Parks) far from the effects of development and agriculture. The pollen is then dried in green houses with fans under 100 degrees F (no ovens). This 100% whole granule pollen is cleaned in a modified seed sorter and then further hand-selected for the most pristine quality.

Country of Origin: Canada

Vivapura Quality:

Ethically Harvested: Our Bee Keeper follows a strict ethical protocol for stewarding the bees. He does not kill the bees at the end of the season and re-queen as is a common practice. In addition, he removes the pollen traps off the hives every other day, giving the bees “free flight.” He never feeds his bees corn syrup or other fillers to force more pollen production. Nor does he ever cut the purity of Northwest Bee Pollen with cheap Chinese filler pollens (an astoundingly common practice). This dedication to purity and quality is a highly intensive bee keeping process which yields pollen that is as good for Nature as it is for you.

Purity: Collected from vast natural areas (Nationally protected “Crown Lands”) far from the effects of pollution and chemical agriculture.

Nutrient Stability: Our pollen is greenhouse sundried to 11% moisture, naturally, which means that the pollens are free from excess moisture that can cause bacteria to grow and degrade the nutrients turning the pollen rancid. Dried pollens are stable and are great for travel.

What is Bee Pollen?

Bee pollen, despite the name, is actually a plant product. The bees are simply the harvesters. Pollen is the dust-sized seed found on the stamen of all flower blossoms. The pollen collects on the legs of honeybees as they move from flower to flower looking for nectar. Pollen is the semen of the plant world, filled with biological information and potential energy. One pollen granule contains from one hundred thousand to five million pollen spores each capable of reproducing its entire species.
One of the most highly prized superfoods used for thousands of years, bee pollen is known as an energy enhancer and the herbal “fountain of youth” and also Nature’s most complete food. The Greek physician Hippocrates, recognized as the father of modern medicine, used pollen as a healing substance over 2,500 years ago. Bee pollen contains most of the known nutrients, including all of those necessary for human survival. When compared to any other food, it contains a higher percentage of all necessary nutrients. It contains an incredible array of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, co-enzymes and hormones. People who consume high-quality bee pollen almost always experience an increase in energy, zest, and physical endurance. This is precisely why thousands of world-class athletes supplement their diets with this natural substance. Experience what one of the most nutritionally complete natural substances found on Earth can do for you.

The Power of Pollen*:

• Composed of 55% carbohydrates, 35% protein, 3% vitamins and minerals, 2% fatty acids, and 5% other substances.

• Provides more than a dozen vitamins, 28 minerals, 11 enzymes or co-enzymes, 14 beneficial fatty acids, 11 carbohydrates, and is rich in minerals, the full spectrum of vitamins, and hormones.

• Bee pollen contains all 22 known amino acids and all 28 minerals found in the human body.

• Notable minerals and vitamins – potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, maganese, copper and the B vitamins.

• Rich in antioxidants, including lycopene, selenium, beta carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, and several flavanoids.

• Bee pollen rejuvenates your body, stimulates organs and glands, enhances vitality, and brings about a longer life span

• Effective in the treatment of conditions as diverse as low blood pressure, arteriosclerosis and mental fatigue.

• Bee pollen is rapidly absorbed into the blood stream and stimulates immunological responses.

• Increases the count of white and red blood cells. When given to anemic patients, researchers have found levels of hemoglobin increases. (Hemoglobin is oxygen-carrying red blood cells in the human body.)

• Helps normalize cholesterol and triglyceride levels in blood. The bad cholesterol (low-density lipoproteins – LDL) decreased and the good cholesterol (high-density lipoproteins – HDL) increased

• Low in calories

• Lose weight
• Increase energy, vitality and stamina
• Enhance the immune system
• Relieve allergy and asthma symptoms
• Improve sexual function
• Improves fertility
• Correct digestion problems
• Slow the aging process
• Prevent cancer and other diseases
• Counteracts the effects of radiation and chemical toxins

Health Note:

Bee pollen may be an allergen for some. If you are not familiar with Bee Pollen, please consume only one granule for your first dose and then increase dosage slowly. In addition, Vivapura is not claiming that any of the health claims are true. We are simply relaying information from several research projects and from our personal experience.*

Suggested Uses:

• Hand stir Bee Pollen into your smoothies after they have been blended for an effervescent, flavorful pop.
• Great as “sprinkles” on your favorite desert.
• Topping for your Chia Porridge
• Add to you raw chocolates
• Grab a handful for an energizing pick-me-up.

Storage:

Do not refrigerate or freeze. To preserve the pollen’s dryness, freshness and crispness, be sure that the zip seal on the top of the bag is closed. Or transfer pollen to a glass jar with lid.

Raw Recipe:

Purple Slurple
8 oz Frozen organic cherries, defrosted
8 oz Frozen organic blueberries, defrosted
8 oz Frozen organic raspberries, defrosted
4 oz Soaked Vivapura Goji Berries
2 oz Soaked Vivapura Incan Berries
1 Tbs Cocopura Coconut Crème: Lucuma-Vanilla
1 Tbs Vivapura Bee pollen
Blend everything (except the pollen) in a high-speed blender until thick and creamy. Top with bee pollen and eat with a spoon in the sun.

i’m using his book ‘capoeira conditioning’.

“A mestre is an individual who has been doing capoeira for so long that they have internalized it and are able to personify a quality, knowledge and a composure that is a capoeirista’s.

It is not because these individuals have a belt, or because they call themselves ‘mestre’, but they have mastered the art form and are in control of their game, their music and are able to inspire others with this too. Capoeira is comparable to a craft, and a master is someone who has been through their apprenticeship, and practiced and lived the life of capoeira to the degree that they have mastered the craft.” – gerard taylor

[i really appreciate this comment on an article from LWN]
The Apple approach is certainly working well for Apple, but as a user you can certainly see the limits of the approach.
In particular, the Apple approach is driven by a singular vision per overall product. In iOS, the singular vision is the single app appliance (not that it only has a single app, but you’re not really expected to try to use multiple apps simultaneously, and certainly not expected to try to make them interact). In OSX, the singular vision is a MacBook Pro with no peripherals, running a big software package (photoshop, spreadsheet…) full-screen and occasionally switching to full-screen Safari or Mail.
The further you get from the singular vision, the worse it works.
Let’s say, for instance, you have a shiny new Mac Pro (one of the $2500+ towers) running Lion, and you’ve hooked it up to two new 27″ screens (which it will do quite nicely). And let’s say you want to use that spiffy new “full-screen mode” their programs have. You get full-screen on the “main” display, and the other one goes blank gray. You can’t do anything with the second monitor.
The use case that Lion was designed for is the guy sitting in Starbucks with his MacBook Pro. It’s designed around a single screen, with other screens being an afterthought. It’s designed around the trackpad, with the mouse being an afterthought. It was designed around a relatively small number of installed apps, all of which are expected to run fullscreen (which, I presume, is why their window management is so primitive. No edge resistance in 2011? Really?). The non-vision parts still work, for the most part, but they’re not as clean. The further you are from the use-case vision, the more you’re on your own.
iOS has similar problems; it’s better than it used to be, but real multitasking is still off the table, the launcher shell is a pretty version of progman.exe from windows 3.1 (now with folders! Oops, but don’t try to nest them. Oh, and don’t try to put more than 16 things in them (or 9, if you aren’t on an ipad), because they don’t scroll…). Notification is still weak, the filesystem is still inaccessible, you need a dongle to use a memory card…
This is a result of Apple focusing on their use case and building the device they think people want. And really, it does seem to be what a lot of people want, or think they want.
The problem with the Apple model, and by extension the Gnome3 model (since Gnome3 seems to be following Apple quite strongly down this rabbit hole) is that it only serves the specific target audience. What it utterly fails to do, what it’s flatly terrible at, is allowing the user to grow and learn.
In recent years the design community has had an absolute hatred of configurability, extensibility and utility. The “ideal” design is one in which there is only one way to do anything, and the novice user can do it preferably with the mouse alone. The plan was that we could give everyone this computer, and anyone could use it.
The trouble with this plan is that it provides no growth path for the user; they can never be anything but a novice because the system doesn’t let them take the training wheels off. It also means it’s much more difficult to adapt the system to unanticipated needs.
The platonic ideal of this design style is Microsoft Bob, and the things that descended from it (Clippy, “wizards”…). Your whole computing experience is on rails, assistants do everything for you, and you can’t do anything your assistants don’t know how (or don’t want) to do.
The Gnome project has been particularly bad about this over the years; one need look no further than Metacity to see that the current “you will use your computer the way we tell you” attitude is endemic, not some new development. As I recall, the current kerfuffle about lack of options in Gnome3 is a replay of Gnome2; when Gnome2 was new, there was a similar storm of complaints from users about options gone missing, and similar condescending “you simply don’t understand my genius” replies from the design team.
The “we must maintain our branding” excuse is new, but it’s merely another justification for the “thou shall not question the holy designers” attitude.
I remain unconvinced that the path Free Software should take is the same path Apple and Microsoft took. Ease of use and ease of learning for beginners is definitely important. Some damage control systems are important as well; preventing novices from burning the house down is clearly desirable.
But where all current “mainstream” desktop systems fall down (and I’m including Gnome and KDE here) is decent support for the steps past novice, the road to mastery.
Consider emacs. When you start using emacs, you can treat it as a simple text editor; open and save files with the menu, only open one file at a time, it supports drag and drop, cut and paste from the menu, and so forth. You can give emacs to a novice and expect them to survive in it, though they may occasionally trip over an advanced feature and get confused.
But emacs grows with you. In my experience, about once a month I learn a new trick in emacs that within six months I can’t live without. There’s a depth, a richness, access to new ways of doing things. Improved ways of doing things. Ways of doing things automatically in an instant that would have taken hours or weeks to do by hand.
We ought to be able to have that in our desktop environments.
There are hints of where to go to make this happen. The example of emacs is particularly instructive; having a completely scriptable system packed with hooks produces a very powerful environment for user mastery.
In window managers, elements of Enlightenment and the SawFish window manager showed some of what could be done.
A particularly important example of the sort of thing we should be doing is (now mostly defunct) Quicksilver for OSX. As much as possible should be made available through dbus, and you should be able to access those services directly through a command interface. I ought, for instance, to be able to bring up a shell and use a simple command to tell firefox to send the image on tab 2 to a new layer in the image I’m editing in gimp.
Perhaps these desktop environments should have a novice mode with training wheels and padded walls, but if we’re going to offer a compelling reason to switch to our platforms, the novice mode must have an off switch. The real strength of the free software community is in our experienced users, our willingness to experiment, and our software’s ability to grow with experience and need. As per the (attribution and exact wording forgotten…) quote, “Unix doesn’t prevent you from doing something stupid because that would also prevent you from doing something clever.”

“1. You are not a person, you HAVE a person existing in association with you. The government only acts on your person.

2. The government is composed of people. They are no better then you.

3. You and the people employed by the government are equal.

4. Nobody governs you without your consent, or the appearance of it.

5. Your S.I.N. means you are a government employee and thus bound by the rules of government employees.

6. If you are not a government employee their rules do not apply to you. Courts actually require your consent as well.

7. A violation ticket is a bill of exchange.

8. When you vote you are not just electing a government, you are electing to have one.

9. The existing courts are private businesses owned by the various law societies.

10. They are not your property as you do not have full access.

11. You have a right to travel in your auto on the road if you are not engaging in commerce.

12. The number on the back of your birth certificate is a bond tracking number and evidences money the government received when you were registered.

13. Canada is a corporation and registered as one in the Securities Exchange Commission.

14. Charters and statutes apply to corporations, not countries.

15. You have been lulled and tricked into thinking that statutes are laws when they are only so if you are a government employee.

16. If you have lawful excuse you can disobey any court order or government
created statute.

17. A claim of right is a lawful excuse and empowers you to disobey any statute, act or by law and to disobey any court, administrative tribunal or government issued orders.

18. You can claim the right to exist without others governing you. This will not affect any previously existing human rights.

19. No peace officer can force you to have a legal name and if you do not they can’t legally deal with you.

20. You have the right to refuse intercourse with a peace officer who has not observed you breach the peace.

21. an arrest without your consent is an assault.

22. You have a common law right to travel on the highways in an unregistered automobile and to do so without first seeking the permission of another.

23. a driver is one who engages in commerce on the public highways.

24. An automobile is only a motor vehicle because the owners registered it.

25. Government agents cannot remove or provide services to an unregistered baby.

26. A notary public can be used to convene a proper court of law and be used to bring legal action against the existing courts, police and government actors.

27. Police officers play two roles. One is a peace officer, the other a policy enforcement officer.

28. They are just people playing roles. People PLAYING a ROLE. They have no special powers if you are not in their theatre.

29. Revoke consent and you step out of their theatre.”

By Plutonius Tiberius
from: Marc Stevens‘ Adventures in Legal Land (Paperback)

For all those who believe that “we must have government,” this book will convince you otherwise. The basis of government’s power is the “justice system;” anyone who controls this can do virtually anything they want. Stevens shows how the “system” is a hoax and indeed, how all of government and politics is nothing but rule by violence. No, I don’t mean that if “we” just vote in Party X or Candidate X, “government will be more responsive.” Government, by its very nature, will never be free of corruption; in fact, governments must be corrupt. If you can’t face this fact, you can’t face reality. This is a book that no politician, bureaucrat or anyone who derives their power from the political system will even address.

The bottom line is this: governments make their money by violence or threat thereof; they admit that they’re not obligated or have no duty to do anything for you or anyone in return for this money. Why does anyone tolerate this?

By D&D
from: Marc Stevens’ Adventures in Legal Land (Paperback)
If you prefer not to learn the truth about our lives today, don’t read this book.

But, what if your life were nothing more than a lie rammed down your throat since you were a child? Using absolute logic and common sense, this author completely – and both honorably and rightly – demolishes our current system of laws and courts, showing how it is nothing but violent persecution.

If you ever wonder whether a bureaucrat (including government/congress/judge/lawyer) has a right to do something, just ask yourself whether your neighbor would have a right to do it to you – and vice versa. If you “decree” your neighbor’s car belongs to you and then take it without their consent, you are a car thief – even if you state it is “necessary”. So, if you cannot do that, how can you authorize anyone else, even a congressman or policeman, to do the same thing?

What’s the real difference between that and passing laws forcing you to eat only certain kinds of foods? If your neighbors have no right to force you not to eat pork rinds, how can they authorize government to force you not to ingest herbs or plants (like marijuana or magic mushrooms) or alcohol (as in Prohibition)? If your neighbor doesn’t have the right to do any of this, then his pretended delegates, deputies, agents, commissioners, governors, presidents, kings, ministers, secretaries and servants don’t either. It’s that simple.

Our legal system is irrational. And that’s why they have to threaten violence – it’s the way the irrational get the rational to act. Ask yourself WHY do they need someone in a costume (uniform) with a gun giving traffic tickets and guarding courts? If you refuse to cooperate, even peacefully, they will use whatever physical violence is necessary to reach their end goal.

If you don’t stop your car when the “cop” flips his lights on, he will eventually use his car to stop you. Having done so, he’ll run up to your car SCREAMING at you to get out with his firearm pointed directly at your head, ready to murder not a peaceful human being but what he now believes is a “criminal” or a “perp”.

See the sick IRONY in such a situation? The “cop” is the violent one and the guy minding his own business, not harming a soul, is somehow the criminal. Yeah, I can hear it now, “You should have stopped your car…” That’s right, blame the victim. Just like the lawyer argument that the rape victim should not have dressed a certain way. I guess you had it coming to you.

Don’t you find it incredible that “cops” use violence to stop your car, violence to search your vehicle, violence to take your property and violence to put you in a cage (called prison) but, if they fail to read you your “rights” before putting you in a cage, THEN they’ve done something wrong? Maybe it’s just me but it appears to be rank hypocrisy to read someone their “rights” while callously DISREGARDING every one of them.

Actually it’s cruel. To make matters worse, these violent individuals then promise you a “fair trial”. This is an example of where the words used are not congruent with the actions. If they can take control over your life and property, it’s clear they do not believe you have any rights, except whatever rights their mercy wants to extend to you.

The point is, because the relationship is based on violence (or the threat of violence), there is no actual limitation on what they can do to you except what they feel is needed to maintain the illusion of legitimacy. For, if you accept that a “cop” has the right to control you without your freely given consent, then you are in no position to complain if he orders you to shine his shoes. The only reason they don’t is that, if they start going too far beyond the accepted “norm” on a regular basis, their illusion of legitimacy would suffer and then disappear as more and more people withdraw their pretended or actual support.

Bureaucrats go to a lot of trouble trying to convince people that what they do is legitimate. Like magicians, bureaucrats give you a “trial” to distract you from the truth while they conceal the violence underlying it all; the true and sole basis for their pretended “authority”. (If you doubt this, just ask any simple but fundamental question in court – there are many in this book – and watch them threaten you with contempt.)

Their BS public relations scheme is why they “give you” a trial, whether you want one or not. It’s political sleight of hand that distracts you while they perform their “magic”, concealing the true basis of their so-called “authority”. Then they can say “you had your day in court, your equal protection, and your due process”. (Most cops don’t know this, by the way. They don’t know more than they’ve been told by “authority”. But the higher up the political pecking order you go, the more of them seem to know.)

The bottom line is: don’t expect fairness and good faith from those doing business at the end of a gun. Don’t expect fairness from the agents of any coercive “state” because to them we are cows to be milked.

The above are all excerpts from this excellent and worthy book. The author claims – and proves – that bureaucrats don’t create value, they only take it; bureaucrats never ask permission to attack someone or their property yet political words and opinions are used so there is a perception that bureaucrats are a wonderful, benevolent group “protecting” people and their property; their real purpose is to steal as much property as possible, using the least amount of violence; bureaucrats think valid obligations are created by violence and organized coercion.

The author logically backs up everything and explains it in great detail. However, it can be dangerous to try out the challenges suggested in this book without a lot more research and commitment. The 2 books by The Antiterrorist offer highly intelligent information on this aspect and if you watch Winston Shrout’s DVDs you will learn why Stevens usually fails in court. (However, it is trailblazers like him, heroes who are willing to fail and fail and fail in their determination to find a way, who blaze the path for the rest of us. Thank you, Marc Stevens.) Plus, Robinson’s “Commercial Redemption” followed by “Hardcore Redemption-in-Law” are the best so far in explaining how to take back the benefit of the millions raised (without your knowledge) via your birth certificate so that you never again have to pay taxes or fines.

I have written apps for both webOS and iOS and I can tell you HP supported webOS on the developer level better than apple does. The SDK, VM, and application submission, where all free. They updated the webOS with, exhibition mode and the touchstone charger, something iOS doesn’t even come close to supporting. Imaging built-in support for the thing when it is sitting around, not just another clock screensaver. They provided a java based IDE for free, that works in most browsers. They updated the frameworks, Mojo then Enyo, and rewrote their own apps to use them. The base of the OS is Linux, and the apps that work on linux work there right down to a shell. Coding for webOS was a lot easier then iOS.

If webOS failed from HP it wasn’t developer support, it was promotion and patience.

Leo is a… if it isn’t profitable cut it and move on… kind of guy, Mark Hurd was a… if you want a tech buy it and cut what you have… kind of guy. Neither see the big picture, that promotion, being different and proud of it is what makes a company, not the we have it too. Innovation is what we buy from another company and never take a risk.
